How do I translate "A mi abuelo no le gusta Internet"? Why is it written "A mi" rather than "Mi"?

You may like to review the reference article on the personal "a" here. This may explain why you say "A mi" rather than just "mi".

Think of it like this .....

To my grandfather ... the internet is pleasing grin

After all - would you say this in English........?

My grandfather ... the internet is pleasing confused

Remember that "to like" doesn't exist in Spanish - something is pleasing to someone.

verbs like gustar have some special features in Spanish.

You can use the Search button in Answers to find several threads on the subject.

Also, you can check this article on indirect object for clarification
