Ok, so the chat will be about
informal commands (tú form) , affirmative, negative and plural!!
You got to thank Sandy for that
If you have more ideas for chats...please leave a message on this thread, I also like the describe a picture...good idea.
So, the idea is:
1) One person says a command in English.
Tell Sandy the story.
2) Next person translates the command to Spanish and substitutes the nouns to pronouns.
Cuenta la historia a Sandy. Cuéntasela.
3) The same person will ask a question with why or whatever question comes to mind. (You choose the member who this questions is directed at)
¿Qué historia debo contar a Sandy? ¿Por qué quieres que cuente una historia a Sandy? Cuándo quieres que le cuente una historia?
4) This member makes a new command in English and so on.
5) Remember to prepare both English and Spanish commands, as the Spanish natives will have to translate the commands to English!!
Present subjunctive is essential for this chat. Especially for negative commands!

Well it is over again for another week the chat on6/03. and it was a great learning
experience. I had been spitting chips all week about this particular chat, I knew it
would be a hard one. But in fact it turned out to be quite a pleasant morning (for me)
Everyone did ,as Heidi said , surprisingly well , which was high praise endeed from
Heidi. I do not want to mention names for fear of offending someone I may miss
out, but I must thank Heidi and Dakie for putting in the time and effort ,they are a
formidable pair. And Sandy she is just such a hard worker , the amount of work she
does on all the flash cards is just astounding ,so thank you dear Sandy.
And , to all who were there to make it a great day. Thank you , gracias mis amigos .
