Chat for beginners: Suggest a topic;)
We have had lots of Beginner's chats now and I wonder if you would like to talk about something special.
Somebody suggested reading a short paragraph or a Christmas Story and we could correct the pronunciation.
Or maybe you would rather concentrate on a grammar issue you are not too sure about?
Ok, we accept suggestions![]()

Pick a few pictures. Then have them describe them or tell what they think of the pictures.
How about going back to the beginning and just say ,hola my name is Jack and
i live ,wherever, and just go on like that , I know it is basic stuff but it can build up with no pressure and we can all join in and if it gets too hard then we drop out and listen. I have gone back to my first lessons on SD and it has been an amazing help , so this might just work. ![]()
How about talking about our jobs? Or maybe hobbies?
When I was a child is more intermediate than beginners as we would have to use past tense, imperfect and subjective. How about we talk about recreations, past times and daily routines. I think that is very general and will be a nice way for everyone to introduce themselves.
Here's an idea and a good conversation starter, but I don't know if it is considered beginner...
When I was a child -- Cuando era una niña.
Being able to talk about where you were born, who your best friend was and what you liked to do is good to know is really interesting. Also, you can tell a lot about a person based upon what they were like as a child.
What about movies??? Many will be interested in that topic..
May be gossips ![]()

We could describe a story line from a famous movie and everyone else would have to guess what we are trying to talk about. We would all do our best to summarize the plot of a famous movie. I'm sure it would be fun....and funny.
We could do daily routine with reflexive verbs or a lesson on commands.
los gatos
Oohh ho ho, man,.I can really relate to this. I've been the native speaker to many a conversation get-together, and I must say..it can be TOUGH sometimes to talk about something. It's like - OK, we're here, now we must talk..but about what??? It's like the pressure to talk, makes you have nothing to talk about.
I guess for the upcoming chat session for you guys though, you could talk about upcoming Thanksgiving plans.

Feliz Thanksgiving. No comida to mucho pavo. lol... Esta bien dicho?
