I'd like to see some of the toasts you've heard or used. Serious, heartfelt, funny, whatever you've got.

Over the teeth, past the gums, look out stomach, here it comes! eating

Chairs! as a word pun for Cheers!

but I heard it in a non-English speaking country and from an English-speaking person making fun of the rest of them for pronouncing Cheers! in a wrong way. He kept saying Chairs! throughout his years there.

I can see that happening in my family. We have a lot of those inside jokes. - Leatha, Nov 24, 2010

Here's to us! There's none like us.

Okay, it's Scottish, which I guess doesn't really fit with a Spanish learning website, but it's the only toast I know.

Personally, I like fresh onion bagels, with Philadelphia cream cheese and lox.

Some folks did this one in Madrid one night, it involves some hand motions: "Arriba! [glasses go up] Abajo! [glasses go down] Al centro! [clink glasses in the center] Adentro!" [drink] There is another one I learned from a guy from Chile, but it is a bit vulgar wink ("Amor! [clink top lip of glass] Dinero! [clink bottom of glass] Y mucha ca*#!ta" (warning: this word is vulgar!) [rub your glasses together]). And of course you can never go wrong with "Salud!"
