How to ask for things in different circumstances?

Hi I am doing some exercises on how to ask for things in different circumstances. I have been given two choices either to use the term "?Me dejas?" meaning can you lend me and "?Me das?" meaning can you give me. I have to use the work "fuego" with one of these terms. I know that fuego means "fire" and I cant see how it makes sense with either term if anyone could help to out with this that would be great. Thanks!

Back in the old days when everyone smoked it was cool to say 'fuego' for a light. - margaretbl, Nov 22, 2010

You can use "fuego" to light a cigarette. Try to think of a phrase in this context.
