Would a "serrana" be a song from the south of Spain in "Voy a decirte serrana" or like, i will tell you the things mountains tell me?

To me... "serrana"... is a girl that comes from the "sierra"... which is a series of mountains...

So "I'm going to tell you mountain girl"...

I'm going to go on a whim, but are you referring by chance to a 'sardana'? That one is a dance originating in the north of Spain (in 'Catalunya'), with the people dancing in a circle with the hands high in the air.

If not, I frankly have no idea what you are talking about, but I don't think there's any dance by that name.

Then I'll go with Tnyriva's suggestion, it just means 'woman from the sierra' - bill1111, Nov 22, 2010
