hola. buenos noches. smile in the very first lesson, we learn that there is feminin and masculine differences. but when she is asking ?como te llamo?.. does the 'o' change to an 'a' if you are asking a woman. and same with if your answering. she says 'me llamo__', since im a girl, should it be 'llama'? muchos gracias .

Because llamo and llama are the conjugations of the verb llamar; no, it doesn't matter if you ask a man or a woman what their name is or how they are called; "Cómo te llama?"; and generally the response is "Me llamo ....."

¿Cómo te llamas? (reflexive) What is your name. ¿Cómo te llama? What does he/she call you? (non-reflexive) - 0074b507, Nov 21, 2010

It's "buenas noches", and "there are diferences",and it's "muchas gracias". In Spanish you don't say: ¿Cómo te llamo?" (How do I call you?) You say: ¿Cómo te llamas? (How do you call yourself?) And as the guy said above, a verb doesn't care about masculine or feminine, it only cares about the subject, not like adjectives. Does that make sense to you?

there are femenine and masculine differences for noun, adjectives, articles and pronouns. But there aren´t for verbs, like llamarse.

Él se llama José

Ella se llama Luisa
