G A M E Darse cuenta de
In response to a request from Daniel here's a game that will help us to practice the phrase - 'darse cuenta de' meaning 'to realize.
As many of us have learnt 'realizar' is a false friend, meaning 'to carry out, execute, make' etc and 'darse cuenta' is the most common way to express the English phrase 'to realize'.
This game should also give us a bit of practice with tenses.
So here's how to play.
1. Click on newest.
2. Translate the given English sentence into Spanish using the phrase 'darse cuenta de' in the appropriate tense.
3. Leave a new English sentence including the word realize, or any other word that can be translated using darse cuenta de, in any tense that you like - try to mix it up a bit and you may also like to include the perfect tenses 
You can also use negative sentences and questions so that we get practice in all forms of speech. You can even use idioms that include 'darse cuenta' such as: darse cuenta de que hay gato encerrado suspect something, smell a rat,
