Anyone know this exclamation?

I keep running into this exclamation. It sounds alot like "Waca!" I heard it once used as an answer to a statement, similar to the english "Really?" Then I heard used again like "What is THAT?" (This usage seemed to have the particle "la" on the end. So it sounded like "Wacala!") Does anyone recognize this?

Guácala means "yuck!" or "eeeew!"
