I recently read a sentence that included the phrase 'dar a conocer':

is it something like 'impart'?

Hi, MC!

It is"dar a conocer", isn't it ? "dar de conocer" sounds very strange.

It's is to "make know", "to communicate", to" inform", to "publish or" to "show" an information to others. I think that it's similar to impart.

... para que le diera a conocer a Daniel; for presenting, introducing David to someone.

Examples:

example:

Hay que dar a conocer este suceso.

darse a conocer=

example:

Are you sure it's dar de conocer? because I now dar a conocer is 'to introduce oneself'.
