Im writing an essay on maternal health in Peru and I need to use this quotation and since it's a quotation it's very important I get it right!

“The ambulance is missing a lot of technical equipment. More than anything, to attend emergencies, the ambulances need to be fully equipped. The one here serves as transport, but not to deal with emergencies"

Thank's for any help!

Here's my attempt at a re-write.

"The ambulance currently in service does not contain the necessary technical equipment to respond to urgent medical situations. Though it provides transportation, this lack of proper equipment will hinder adequate emergency medical response."

Let me know if I'm not understanding what you want.

Here's my attempt, to get things started.

La ambulancia falta una gran cantidad de equipamiento técnico. Más que nada, para atender emergencias, las ambulancias deben ser totalmente equipada. Esta aquí sirve para transportar, pero no sirve para contender con situaciones de emergencia.
