What makes you thankful? Thanksgiving 2010
In the United States the holiday of Thanksgiving is next week, on Thursday, November 25. For more on the holiday, go to the Wikipedia article here (In Canada the holiday was celebrated last month.)
In honor of the day, please post a sentence or word, in Spanish or English or both, telling us what makes you thankful.
To start: I am so grateful for Jen (nametaken) and the courage and resolve she has shown as she battles her illness.

My beloved niece Chrissy is alive and well 3 years after her liver transplant. She had been comatose and on life support, and they told us there no longer was any hope. Four hours later, they found a donor. We will be forever grateful to the family who lost their son and who could, in the face of that unbearable pain, think of others. It is through their unselfishness that our joy was returned to us.
Mi famila, y especialmente mis dos hijos que están sirviendo su país en el ejército.Que se sigan sano y salvo.
My family. Especially my two sons serving their country in the Military. I prey that they stay safe.
Mi madre. Soy muy agradecida.
My mom. I'm very grateful. Even though she died a few years ago, the money she left me has made it possible to get through the past several months when neither my husband nor I have had any income.
Voluntarios - Volunteers make the world a better place. I am thankful to have the opportunity to volunteer for several organizations and concerns.
la familia............family. We all have them and some of them are crazy, but we love them anyway.

I am thankful for my wonderful parents, my beautiful and wacky extended family, a job that is always entertaining (I'm a teacher), my handsome boyfriend and his patience with me while I learn his language, and for being graced with another year on this earth!
This year has brought with it a cornucopia of wonderful things.
