Passive - the grammatical subject is being acted upon by someone/something (usually, but not always, stated). Impersonal - no stated subject/author of the action (pretty much restricted to the 3rd person singular). In English "it" often serves as the grammatical subject but really has no meaning.
Furthermore, a passive construction (by its very nature) requires a transitive verb while the verb in an impersonal construction is intransitive.
It's blurry in my mind, and I use them a lot (too much, I've been told). What do you think the difference is? Any examples?
mmm i would help you if you give me an example of each one, im am a native speaker but i really don´t remember wich is the passive .
