Accent on the pronoun él.
When the pronoun he (él) is capitalized, because it is the start of a sentence, does the accent become optional?

Upper-case letters always have accents when appropriate. It's a mith that it is optional.
No accents are not options
They are used for pronunciation as well as distinguishing 2 words that are written the same from one another like el and él
You must keep the accent.
Don't get rid of the accent. Even if it is capitalized, when you leave off the accent, it means "he".
gracias, eso es lo que pensé
