I'm wondering about the usage of "baras" here - I guess it means "cheap", but when is this used? Is it slangy? I only know of barato(a).

it's slang... I don't know if it's used outside of Mexico... short for barato
it has to agree with the number by the way...
"está bien bara"...it's very cheap
"están bien baras"... these are very cheap
