Translation: "a de ser"

Question

I'm sorry if this is answered elsewhere on the site; I searched but didn't come up with anything definitive.

I'm trying to correctly translate the following:

"Llena de amor como a de ser."

The translation tool provides: Full of love as being. Is this accurate, or is there a better translation? When I put that translation in the context of the rest of what I'm translating, it doesn't sound completely accurate.

The phrase "a de ser" is unfamiliar to me. I'm actually surprised I haven't come across it before in my studies, but I'd like to learn more. Can anyone give some examples of when this is used?

It should be "Llena de amor como ha de ser" ......... "Full of love [she is] as it should be."

It's not "a de ser", it is "ha de ser" (verb "haber").

It's like saying "how it has to be", "how it should be" or "how it must be".

A couple examples: "Asi es como ha de ser": That's the way it should be. "¿Como ha de ser el amor?": How is love supposed to be?

Just a guess but is it something like

Full of love as she is

or

Full of love as she is expected to be

or

She's full of love as always

It's with respect to a relationship, not a person...so maybe the relationship will be full of love as expected to be? Thanks for your input! - mapletw, Nov 17, 2010
