What is the difference between

Estar robado

How do you know which one to use and where to use it?

Never, never, never you will find someone saying "estar robado".

Some examples in the use of the word "robado": Estoy siendo robado Fui robado

"Ser robado" could be used if you are saying something like: "Ser robado se siente horrible" = "Being robbed feels awful"

you need to learn the difference between when to use ser and estar...thats a basic step and once you know that you can apply it to other verbs

You could understand the difference perfectly and still be confuse with different usage of "to be" with the same adjective. For example, "ser listo" means something different than "estar listo". I don't know if there is a difference in the example given here, or if it is just a misuse of the forms of "to be".
