¿Quiere telefonear de mi parte?

I am using a flash card program, and this was the answer for

"Will you telephone for me?"

I don't really understand the usage of "de mi parte" vs "para mi"

Both of those sentences (por mí and de mi parte) in Spanish mean you are asking someone to call someone else on your behalf. Depending on context, the English sentence could mean something else.

You could use: por mí. Not para.

¿Puedes llamar por mí?

This would mean the same as your sentence.
