Please correct my English and Spanish. - Vaanz, Nov 16, 2010
Is the neuter correct here or should it be éste? - 0074b507, Nov 16, 2010
Great Vaanz , thank you. - ray76, Nov 16, 2010
Whenever you use a pronoun in place of an inanimate thing it should be neuter: "Esto no es un teléfono. (esto) Es un coche". If you use a determiner then you can put it in the appropriate gender ('Este teléfono es rojo") - bill1111, Nov 16, 2010
http://spanish.about.com/od/pronouns/a/demonstrative_pronouns.htm Explain that to this person. He has several incorrect examples then. Me probé muchas camisas. Voy a comprar ésta. (not ésto). - 0074b507, Nov 16, 2010
Bleh, I had written 'unknown' at first, deleted it afterward and then I forgot to replace it with something else (like undefined, dunno). Anyways, in that case it is correct to use the gender, because you are talking about one among many similar things. - bill1111, Nov 16, 2010
Good one, Vaanz! Lots of great answers! - sanlee, Nov 16, 2010
Thanks guys!!! I'm sorry, I was not able to correct it earlier... - Vaanz, Nov 16, 2010
