manejar = to drive verb

  1. to operate (máquina, mandos);

  2. to drive (vehículo) (Am)

He operates a vehicle in the city.

Maneja en la ciudad.

Is the "a vehicle" part of the sentence built into the conjugation of the verb - manejar?

I am a beginner, but since no one else is answering this, I will give it a try.

"He" is built into the conjugation of the verb.

The vehicle is implied by the context.

If I were to say in English "I drive in the city" you would know what I mean and most likely not get confused and think I am driving a herd of cattle through the city, or driving a nail, or any of the other possible uses of drive that we have in English.

I like the way you indicate the context is driving a vehicle and not a cattle drive or construction work! - bandit51jd, Nov 15, 2010
