when to use plurals when decribing people?

Hi if I was to say that me and my mother are patient i.e. "we are patient". Would it be correct to say "somos pacientes" or should I use "somos paciente". If anyone could clear this up that would be grest thanks!

Yo soy paciente. Mi madre es paciente.Ella es paciente. Mi madre e Isabel son pacientes.Ellas son pacientes Tomás y yo somos pacientes.

the adjective must be of the same gender and form (singular or plural) as the described noun.

So "me and my mum" is plural and feminine(if you are a woman) or masculine (if you're a male, notice that if there's even one male among the group of women, you use masculine form of adjectives to describe this group).

But in your case it's the same form - pacientes- for both genders

So yes, somos pacientes is correct.
