Informal mandatos.

Informal mandatos.

Hello, I'm trying to use informal mandatos. I need some help with my spanish please.

I am trying to write in an assertive informal way, "Don't play with the dog and eat an apple and take a bath every day. Also, don't cook alone y don't eat plants because they're very bad for you. When you leave your house wear clothes for winter."

No jueges con el perro y come un manzana y toma un baño todos las días. También, No cocina solo y No come plantas porque ellos son muy mal para tú. Cuándo tú salga tu casa llevas por el invierno.

Thanks for looking it over.

Maybe there are regional differences, but I would modify these parts to make it sound natural in Spain:

"cómete"

"date un baño" / "báñate".

Internationally speaking, "también" is not used correctly; it should say "Además" (or else). "Cocina" should be "cocines" and "come" should be "comas". You can't -I repeat: you can't- translate "it" into Spanish at all, so remove that "ellos" right away. Say: "No comas plantas, porque son muy malas para ti". Remove that "tú" too: "Cuando salgas de casa... (I don't understand the last part)".

Looks like "When you leave the house, dress for winter." - 0074b507, Nov 15, 2010

A native speaker could help you much more than me, but a few things jump out at me: una manzana, báñate todos los días, no comas plantas por que ellas son muy malas, para ti, cuando tú salgas de tu casa abrígate bien por hace frío.

Native or better Spanish speaker than me, please correct me if I'm wrong.

For the most part, your advice sounds quite good, but that "ellas" is simply beyond unacceptable. - lazarus1907, Nov 14, 2010
Thankyou for your feedback, I did take out the ellas. Thanks alot. - rcmango, Nov 14, 2010
