What is the difference between chilly and cold?. Thank you.

Hola, Nila.

Chilly = A little bit cold. You need a sweater but not a winter coat.

Cold = You need a sweater and a coat to keep warm.

Freezing = You will need a thick coat, gloves, a scarf and you will still be a bit cold. You can't really get warm when it's freezing outside.

P.s.

Rather than "Today is chilly/cold" I'd say "It's chilly/cold today."
