what is the difference between "te extrano" or "te echo"

Do they both mean "I miss you" and which one would be proper to use?

"Te echo" means I kick you out.

"Te echo de menos" means I miss you, and it's the same as "te extraño".

"Te echo" alone is I throw you, but if you have "te echo de menos" it is I miss you, the same as "te extraño". They are basically the same, I believe te extrano is more formal however.
