There was a great phrase that I had learned years ago. It's English translation was approximately but not literally "He who loses the morning, loses the afternoon. He who loses the afternoon, loses the life" I think it's meaning was embrace youth, and keep that spirit with you throughout life. Does anyone know this "Mexican proverb"? Please and thanks.

Thanks very much. That sounds about right. Don't know the source, but it may be an almost literal translation. Gracias & Aloha - WilliamRSmith, Nov 12, 2010

Ha ha. "Carpie diem" is a reasonable fit but, probably not what you heard.
