¡Bien hecho chruhlman!

My mystery object is in fact a "geodetic survey point". Here we call them "trig stations" (trigonometry). This is a marker used in mapping and as points for bushwalking.

(This is one is on the Narrowneck Plateau, Blue Mountains, Australia. This particular trig station has to share the ridge-line with the Narrowneck fire tower - the main observation point for bushfire-spotting in this part of the world. You can see in the second photo the trig-point is completely dwarfed by the fire-tower....)

¿Podrían haber sido las marcas del juego para niños en un patio de recreo abandonado?.(Como un juego de 'Hopscotch' o un otro juego donde los participantes tienen que saltar de uno espacio a otro?

Could they have been the markings of a game for children in an (old) abandoned school playground? (Like a game of Hopscotch or some game where the particpants have to jump from one circle to another?)
