Babies have a real fine beard of fuzz, like the surface of a peach!

peligrosa :) Hi, Ray ! - cogumela, Nov 12, 2010
As a metaphore (like in Vaanz's sentence) it's fine, but furballs are almost always translated as "bolas de pelo". Also: 'peligrosa" - bill1111, Nov 12, 2010

Each seed of "Dandelion" is like a fuzz, and this allows it to extend itself throughout large distances. I can never resist the temptation of blowing to them.

Cogumela amiga, when you blow them do you count the hours with each blow untill it is all gone and that is then "the time" ?? - ray76, Nov 12, 2010

'pelusa' can mean 'jealousy', but only between kids and such. Jealousy between adults, the ugly one, is called "celos". - bill1111, Nov 12, 2010

I've sometimes heard "tener pelusa" to say "to be jealous", but never 'pelusa' on its own. At most, and only to fit that word, I'd say: "Los que tienen pelusa de otros..". However in practice I'd just say "Los celosos" or "La gente celosa" - bill1111, Nov 12, 2010
"Pelusa" does not work here. :/ - cogumela, Nov 12, 2010
Thanks all. I had to at least leave the word of the day in the sentence, even though it is a slightly skewed interpretation. - Rolest, Nov 12, 2010

The street kids are making their own music. Some change for their work, please.

Could I use "cambio" for "change"...as in "spare coins"? - DR1960, Nov 12, 2010
'propia', and yes, you can say "algo de cambio" to say "some change". 'por sus obras' doesn't sound too good. - bill1111, Nov 12, 2010
