Well this may seem like a very simple thing and mistakes may be due more to laziness than a lack of understanding but as they say 'practice makes perfect' so after some gentle encouragement from one of our kind and patient moderators (read "I have had a enough of correcting all your silly gender agreement mistakes, come on put me out of my misery!") - here's a simple but important game for us all smile

How to Play:

Click on newest.

Translate the given English sentence into Spanish making sure that you have made everything agree when it comes to gender.

Leave a new English sentence for the next player - the sentence (one only please) must include at least one definite (eg the) or indefinite (eg a/an) article, one noun with a matching adjective (eg big, red, lovely, juicy) and/or a demonstrative adjective (eg this, these, those.

Feel free to add any other parts of speech which must be in gender agreement (eg direct object pronouns etc) smile

Given: That red-haired girl is my neighbour's niece.

My translation: "Aquella pelirroja es la sobrina de mi vecino."



New sentence: This big mall is better than that one over there.

Translation: Rodolfo, el reno tenía una nariz roja y muy brillante.

New sentence: I wish everybody, a happy and prosperous new year.

Happy new year everybody.

Don't you mind that old grouch; he's senile.

Translated:

No le hagas caso a ese gruñón viejo, está senil.

(I wasn't sure if importa or preocupes would be better here??)

New Sentence:

The water is clear and clean.
