When writing in spanish, when is personal "a" used?

This is my most common mistake; I do not know when to use personal "a"s.

I know one can use them like, " A Francisco, le gusta correr", but when else are these "a" used?

Go to the More tab on the far right and it will dropdown. Click on Reference. Then choose "Spanish Grammar" and there is an article there partway down called "the personal a" It will tell you what you need to know.
