I thought that the prefix "a mí" was acceptable as an emphasis.

your translation of the second sentence is totally wrong.

It should be, for example: En otoño me gusta mirar el futbol y recoger hojas.

"A mi" is redundant.

We don't say "observar" when speaking about an sport or show.

"Futbol americano" doesn't mean a thing in Spain.

"Recolectar" is used refered to harvest.

Hi Drew
I was wondering if you realised that this post was 4 months old.

Gustar (to like), is an indirect verb. To express that you like something, you place a mí me before your object. This is literally translated to: the object pleases me. (hence the indirectness smile

It gets more complicated when you're saying that somebody else likes something but...

In this case, your 2nd sentence should be:
En el Otoño, a mí me gusta observar fútbol americano y recolectar hojas.

(reloj is the noun form of the word watch as opposed to I watch smile

See if you can fix your mistake in the 3rd sentence.

En el Otoño me gusta mirar el football y recoger las hojas -> En el Otoño me gusta mirar al fútbol americano y recoger las hojas.
Couple of small changes.

The tip that was left for you said.
Tip: generally the words that end in "a" are femenine, use " una or la" before them.
example: una blusa, una casa, la montaña, etc.

En el Otoño el tiempo es ventoso y fresco.
(In the Fall the weather is windy and chilly).

En el Otoño me gusta mirar el football y recoger las hojas.
(In the Fall I like to watch football and collect leaves).
aun mas corrector seria. En el Otoño me gusta ver jugar football y recoger las hojas.

En el Otoño me gusta llevar un suéter, pantalonés, una blusa, y zapatos.
(In the Fall i like to wear a sweater, pants, a blouse, and shoes.)

Tip: generalmente las palabras que terminan con "a" son femeninas, es decir, se antepone " una, la"
example: una blusa, una casa, la montaña, etcetera.
