Almost every morning my Spanish-speaking colleague would ask me ¿Desayunó ya?. What is the appropriate way to answer this question if I want to say "I did". Is it OK if I simply say ¡Ya!? thanks

I'd say "sí, gracias"...
"Yes I did, thankyou"
