Cállate vs Calla?
Okay... I'm going to post this until I understand!!! Why is it cállate? Why can't you just say calla? Well, I think I understand... Calla + te... but why does the a in cAllate have a line above it? cállate? shouldn't it just be callate?

I believe it would be to retain the original pronunciation of calla while still adding another syllable (this syllable being a pronoun). callate would have stress on the second to last syllable otherwise, changing the sound.
