Welcome , vanna, that is one of the great questions of the night: do you think you can give us a verb that goes with the "yo"?? wink

It depends on the verb. Check out the conjugation feature on this site under the "more" category. Hope this helps. Look at the following verbs to see some differences: mirar, estar, vivir, haber and ser. Just to name a few. By the way, welcome to the forum!! wink

Re: Vanna's Answer:

I'm sure Vanna is right, and I think what she's saying is that just like in English, there's no "past tense" for "yo" (or "I"). I WAS there, I AM there, I WILL be there ... all the same.

Unless I misunderstood and your question was about a specific preterite or imperfect verb in the first person singular, in which case the answers regarding verbs should help.

Good luck! grin

for preterite -ar verbs, it's é,

and for preterite -er and -ir verbs, it's í.

for imperfect -ar verbs, it's aba,

and for impefect -er and -ir verbs, it's ía.

For AR verbs the ending is e for ER and IR verbs the ending is i. (Unless it's irregular)

Hope this helps!
