What is the word "swarty or swarto" mean? I may not be spelling it correctly?
I was told it means a smart man or an arrow that is shooting into the sky?
Is this true or were they just pulling my leg?
I realize this may be possibly the american indian espanol dilect.

the closest resemblance of a Spanish word I can think of is saeta, which is an arrow-like weapon and it´s also a word used to desribe a fast runner, or someone who is quick for doing things.
Another phonetically resembling word is suerte, but it means ´luck´.
So, maybe they were pulling your leg. Maybe
