Trip to Spain
I happen to have a lot of leisure time during the next ten months and I am thinking about taking a trip to Spain. The purpose would be an extended vacation of course, and to learn as much Spanish as possible. I plan to move around a lot, so does anyone have any suggestions about where to visit? What month(s) should I go? Thanks!
Resulta que tengo un montón de tiempo libre durante los próximos diez meses y estoy pensando en hacer un viaje a España. El objetivo sería unas largas vacaciones, por supuesto, y de aprender tanto español como sea posible. Mi plan para moverse mucho, así que, ¿alguien tiene alguna sugerencia sobre qué visitar? ¿En qué mes o meses debo dirigirme? ¡Gracias!

valencia in march for ¨las fallas¨ spains third city is amazing and as yet overlooked by mass tourism.
If you like wild natural beauty, heat and unspoilt beaches you should visit Cabo de GataNatural Park in southern Spain. It's where Europe's only desert meets the sea. The whole area is a protected park and very beautiful in a wild way. Almeria is the nearest large city.
Granada in late May because tenerife gardens are in full bloom which is next to Alhambra, the Moorish castle, and the heat of summer is avoided this way. There are a fair amount of fiestas going on at this time.

The same happened to me, got some free time and decided to travel to Spain. Depending on your current location and taste, you may or may not miss sunshine and good weather. In case you miss them, I'd highly recommend south of Spain, such as Malaga, Grenada, Cadiz for the winter months. There are several language courses and other activities to enjoy and you can get a fairly authentic feel of the local life since the touristic season is over. I realize Malaga is a good hub, you can easily catch a bus or train, even a plane and travel to other towns in Andalucia or further in Spain. Renting a car is very cheap in Spain too!
There is a peculiar accent spoken here in Andalucia though, it may be a bit different from what you have learnt so far. I personally find it rather cute

Your profile doesn't give much information about your level of Spanish etc. However, I'd say, avoid July and August in the tourist zones. You need to say what your interests are and your level of Spanish in order to get good advice.

I would encourage you to go and have a wonderful time. My favorite city is Barcelona, but of course they speak Catalin there, but you can still use your Spanish. There are so many beautiful places to visit, and the people are lovely.
For me, I would avoid the dead of summer because it gets VERY very hot!
