Chiflado means spoiled brat in Mexico?
I was taught in south texas that chiflado meant spoiled brat, is this wrong

That's a regionalism that's used in the northeast.
In Monterrey... which is the biggest city in that zone is used commonly having that meaning...
But in almost any other part of the country it means... "to be insane"...
"está chiflado"... "he is crazy"

And probably everywhere else, because it is used in Spain like that too. You can also say "chiflado por algo" (crazy about something)
Think "crazy" and how flexible that is
I've heard it also to denote a person in love or smitten. Ella está chiflada. Maybe I'm getting it mixed up with "flechada". You know, like from cupid. Is "mimado" and "consentido" used for spoiled?
