You could say:
Soy products are said to be good for the health
or .... if you wanted to say something in Spanish
you could say
Soy de Nueva Zelanda.
I am from New Zealand.
Spanish gives you a bonus here - two words for the price of one.
soy - I am
In a nutshell: you use "soy" when you want to define or categorise yourself in any way.
Soy is the first person conjugation of the verb ser- which is one of the Spanish verbs that translate to English as "to be". So you use soy in a sentence when you want to say "I am" and it fits in with a meaning that you should use ser and not estar.
Examples:
Soy de los Estados Unidos- I am from the United States.
Soy alto. I am tall. (A female would say "soy alta"). But:
Estoy aburrido. I am bored. (aburrida if female)
If you said Soy aburrido/a, that would imply that you are a boring person (as a personality characteristic and not a mood).
Read the link at the top to better understand where to use which verb.
There are other places where in English that one might say "I am" that you would use "tener", such as "tengo hambre" (I am hungry) or "tengo frío" (I am cold)- so you must also keep in mind that not all concepts translate literally word for word.
Go easy on the soy sauce because it has a lot of sodium.
