¿Dónde vas a comprar frutas frescas? – Where do you buy fresh fruit?

Do I have the proper English translation?

You can read it as Where are you going to buy fresh fruit? (future time) or (To) Where are you going to buy fresh fruit. In the latter case a dónde might be more correct. (¿A dónde vas para comprar frutas frescas?)

¿Dónde compras frutas frescas? would be closer to your translation.

¿Dónde trabajas? – Where do you work?

¿Dónde vas a trabajar? – Where are you going to work?

How about these? Am I getting the hang of it now?

The ir+a+infinitive periphrasis usually refers to future time rather than "where are you going to" (adónde). So yours is Where will you be working? (future) - 0074b507, Nov 8, 2010
