Well, you could say: Déjales buscar. That's if you are talking to someone informally just telling the person to let them look for whatever it may be. But if you are talking to an older person and you want to show respect, then say: Déjeles buscar.

Now, if, for example, your boss tells you to look for something, and you are really busy finishing up a project and want your officemates who are doing nothing to look for it, you can say: Qué ellos busquen. May they look for it. Let THEM look for it. smile

This could be said in a lot of ways. One way would be Déjelos buscar. This uses the verb dejar in the imperative. But it could change a lot depending on who you were talking to and what you were talking about.

Is it correct to use direct object pronoun? - culé, Nov 7, 2010
Are you thinking it should be indirect? I used to think I knew this, but all the leísmo going around is making it blurry in my mind. - KevinB, Nov 7, 2010
Exactly I'm confused as well! Yes it seems to me that it should be indirect.. - culé, Nov 7, 2010
The people being let to search are the direct object of the sentence, so normally they would be replaced by a direct object pronoun. But if you use leísmo, 'les' is fine, too. - MacFadden, Nov 7, 2010
I'm with MacFadden. It's definitely direct, but both les and los work, I think. - KevinB, Nov 7, 2010
