Hi erayanay, you put on your profile that you are fluent in English. Please hit the "edit" button and fix your spelling and capitalization. There are folks here who are not native English speakers who are trying to learn. Thanks. - Echoline, Nov 6, 2010

That is hardly surprising. Many words have different meanings (and, therefore, many different synonyms) according to context. When you type the word into a vocabulary list, the translator no longer knows the context, and therefore will have to guess which synonym to use.

Even if there is no change in meaning with context, there are still many different synonyms that can be used to convey the same meaning. Consider typing in the word drive. Overlooking the different meanings depending on which part of speech the word is (noun (golf swing), adjective (drive shaft), verb (drive a car) you still have several synonyms to use for the single meaning of to drive a car (manejar, conducir) so it is very likely that you will not see the same word that was used in the lesson.

Hi Erayanay. Welcome to the forum.

It's really hard to understand what the trouble is. Where you in the "create flashcards" section and couldn't copy and paste some word? Did you paste your word and it wasn't automatically translated properly?

Please be a little more specific and take us step-by-step on what you did, and what you're trying to do, so that we can help you.

P.s. Please remember to use proper capitalization and punctuation in your posts. Thanks!
