Nacer ileso es un milagro en sí mismo.

To be born unscathed is a miracle in itself.

"Nacer..", without the 'a'. Also, the correct adjective in that context is "sano".. Personally I wouldn't use "ileso" unless I'm talking about an accident, an attack, etc.. - bill1111, Nov 5, 2010

"Esta calabaza salió ilesa de la fiesta de Halloween", or "sobrevivió a la fiesta de Halloween". If you use "sobrevivir" you can't add "ilesa". - bill1111, Nov 5, 2010

Same as the other post: you have to choose between "sobrevivió" or "resultó ileso". Since "salió ileso" or "resultó ileso" implies that he survived, there really isn't a problem though. - bill1111, Nov 5, 2010

This is a bit picky, but when you talk about rescue workers, "agentes" is a better word than "funcionarios". "Funcionarios", at least in Spain, has a connotation of being a bureaucrat rather than a man of action :) - bill1111, Nov 5, 2010
