Hi. I have a homework assignment. Could someone please check it? These were the intstructions. Mi familia Escribe un párrafo corto sobre cada miembro de tu familia nuclear. Para cada individuo, di quién es, cómo se llama y cuántos años tiene. Incluye algunas características físicas y también unas de personalidad.

Mi esposo se llama Pasquale.. Tiene cincuenta y nueve años. Él es un hombre muy guapo, activo, e inteligente. También es un buen cocinero. Mi hija se llama Laura y tiene treinta y un años. Es muy bonita y tiene el pelo negro y la tez clara. Ella es muy artística e inteligente. Tiene titulo de dos universidades. Es tejedora y enfermera. Está casada con Mark, mi yerno, que tiene treinta y nueve años. Mark es muy alto y es pelirrojo. Mi hijo, Vincente, tiene veintiocho años. Es muy guapo y listo. Cuando tenía dieciséis años, empezó un negocio de computadoras con un muchacho de quince años que encontró en el Internet. Hoy, esa compañía emplea por lo menos a diez personas y tiene éxito. La esposa de Vincente, mi nuera, se llama Debora,.Tiene veintiocho años y es muy simpática y siempre está feliz. Ella tiene el pelo castaño y los ojos castaños también. Los dos se divierten mucho juntos. Y esas son algunas cosas acerca de mi familia.

I have corrected it, Heidita. In Spanish 1, they haven't told us to eliminate the subject pronoun yet. I have talked to the teacher about it and he said that I could do it , but it wasn't wrong to use them. I told him that, here and (I figure) in Spain, - sanlee, Nov 5, 2010

It is not a good thing to use subjiect pronuns. But I guess we still use them in class, so it is a little confusing to me. - sanlee, Nov 5, 2010

I agree with Heidita... it does sound better without the subject pronouns, those are not used that often in Mexico either... but I don't think of them as forbidden - Tonyriva, Nov 5, 2010

Hoy, esa compañía emplea por lo menos a diez personas y tiene éxito. La esposa de Vicente se llama Debora. Tiene veintiocho años y es muy simpática y (siempre está) feliz. The hair can't be "moreno"... it's either "café" or "castaño", or "negro"...

De computadoras "a computer business"... por computadora "a business that goes by the computer"

People normally no son felices, están felices... it can be used... but is more common to say "siempre está feliz"... he/she is always happy... than "es feliz"...

Edit: And I wonder the same as jeezzle... what do you mean by "tejedora"?

Ella está casada a Mark que tiene treinta y nueve años. Mark es muy alto y es pelirrojo. Mi hijo, Vicente, tiene veintiocho años. Él es muy guapo y listo. Cuando él fue dieciséis, él empiezó un negocio de computadora con un muchacho de quince años que él encontró en el Internet. Hoy, esa compañía emplea por lo menos diez personas y tiene éxito. 1. I understand that graduado is a cerficate of some sort, for graduating, but it sounds wierd to me because I haven't heard it before, maybe it is used a lot I don't know.
2. Never heard tejedora, is she a weaver? Basket weaver or something?
3. casada. Su marido se llama Mark. El tiene treinta y nueve años.
4. Cuando él tenía dieciséis años
5. empezó not empiezó
6. I wonder if "en el internet" or "por internet" is better
7. Los dos se divierten juntos

Thank you so much. My daughter went to art school and was a weaver on a loom for 8 years. She wove rugs, scarfs, purses, wall hangings,etc. She finally took her loom out of our house a few months ago. It looked like this.
