So for spanish we have to write a paragraph about a childhood story, it can be true or false...the class is supposed to guess. But I really need help figuring out when to use pret. or imp. I follow the rules but i always seem to somehow end up wrong on some of my verbs...help?!

If you post your story and either bold or italicize the verbs in question, I'm sure we would all gladly help you out but it's kind of hard to help when we don't know exactly what we're working with :) - lchsnicolita, Nov 4, 2010

Perhaps you should learn how to use the historical present tense in a narration.

historical present

the present tense used to narrate past events, usually employed in English for special effect or in informal use, as in a week ago I'm walking down the street and I see this accident
