Question about Translator
Is there a way to indicate "tu" instead of the formal "usted" when using the translator on this website? I'm referring to trying to translate something from English to Spanish - it always returns the "usted" and not the "tu" informal version.

the translator is very formal ![]()
But you can profit from that and learn in the process of turning formal texts into informal ones!
You'd need artificial intelligence or at the very least a powerful Expert System for that. You could build an Expert System to make such distinctions but the complexity of the code and the creation of algorythms and rule bases would not justify the effort unless a lot of research money was poured into say, a postgraduate programme, maybe using neural network strategies.
Sorry I'm way off topic but it is an interesting proposition. ![]()
Actually I don't think so , as the translator is not good enough.
