How do you say "report card" in spanish. In English a "report card" is something students are given in school to evaluate how well they're doing in their subjects. For example, if someone gets an A in English, they are doing very well. An F indicates that they need help. I have to translate a parent conference and am not sure how to translate "report card".

"Calificaciones" or "la boleta de calificaciones".

I found this for you:

boletines (de notas), en Argentina

carnets (de notas) en Uruguay

Calificaciones or Notas del colegio en Costa Rica

Boleta en Mexico

In Costa Rica and at least some parts of Mexico, las notas is used.

I don't understand if 'report card' refers to the grade itself or is a paper or a kind of document where the grades are written. In the first case I agree with the previous post and it is 'notas'. In the second case I should say 'boletín' o 'boletín de calificaciones'.

Welcome to the forumsmile

In Spain we simply say: las notas

However, this might change in other countries. Where to you need to talk about this?
