What was edited? I removed the double quote marks around the phrase to make the question header more compatible with MS Explorer. - Moe, Nov 4, 2010

does anybody mention my name?

does anybody ask for me?

(a little more context would be helpful)

I thought pedir was request and preguntar was ask. I would translate as "ask someone for me" or "ask someone on my behalf" depending on the context. But I don't claim to be a native. Hope this helps.

An equivalent question is ´pregunta alguien si estoy?´

I think the translation for ´preguntar´ is not ask as usual by request.

Was I requested by anybody? .
