Obama, our president, feels as if this election is a personal affront to his agenda... alt text alt text

The Republicans are gloating (Too much, perhaps? They have a very hard road to travel the next two years.)... alt text

The United States has just emerged from an election that has handed over more seats from one party to the other than any other single election since the 1930's... alt text

Where are we headed from here, and what have the people proclaimed to politicians by their vote? You get to weigh in now! Here is an article to read in case you need to catch up on details...

Please respond in English or Spanish, whatever your fancy...and please let's stay nonconfrontive. We want to hear your opinion but I don't think I can stand any more personal mudslinging! (In other words, say whatever you like, but please don't personally attack other SpanishDict members...)

Hello,

I am just glad that all the t.v. ads will be over. By putting those ads out (attacking and low-blowing each other), they all seem like sleazy, desperate crooks.

Always a pleasure to see you around, Renasmile

On Spanish TV this is all over the news, the conservative party, that is republican, seem to be doing a good campaign.

I think Obama made a lot of enemies, too many changes too fast....in my experience that is not easily accepted by many people.

My only hope is that, because of the Republican influence in the House, the Democratic influence in the Senate, and a Democrat in office, perhaps the two sides will actually have to come together, think logically, and propose moderate (for both parties) initiatives...if they have any hope of them coming to fruition, that is.
