A veces está cerrada con llave, a veces no lo está. Is this right? (about the front door).

Another suggestion:

A veces está cerrada con llave y a veces no.

In these cases we do not often repeat the verb.

Lazarus' answer sounds more natural to me. The yours is also right, Jeezz.

Hola:

Yo diría "con llave" o "con seguro" porque "cerrada" simplemente quiere decir "closed" (not locked).
