What might 'crientes' mean?

Any idea what the word 'crientes' might mean when used in this sentence?
"Hacer bien mi trabajo para que se sientan los crientes contentos con mi trabajo."
Any help would be great. Thanks!

This game of "guess the Spanish word" is always fun.
Sometimes people from Puerto Rico replace "l's" with "r's" in their pronunciations.
It looks like this is what might have happened.
