Happy Deepavali

Question

This weekend we are celebrating one of the biggest festival in India - Deepavali(Diwali).

This is called the festival of lights. This festival is actually the celebration of our 'Inner' self.

The legend says that Lord Krishna, killed the demon 'Narakasura' and brought joy and prosperity to the world on this day.(triumph of good over evil).

It is the time for sweets. It's the time for new specially designed dresses .It is the time to burst the fire crackers.

Sweets will be prepared in homes and will distribute it to all and to the poor people.

Rangolis are done to decorate the houses to capture the festive mood.

According to one belief, the sound of fire-crackers are an indication of the joy and gratitude of the people living on earth, making the gods aware of their plentiful state.

This is the happy festival for both (people and the Gods)
